Reflection on Superintendent Interview
In reflecting on the interview with Mrs. Pritchett, my constant thought during the entire process was that she was being my teacher. I could feel her passion for taking care of one of her “students”. Mrs. Pritchett was completely comfortable with telling me the good and bad things about being the leader at the top of this great institution. I am starting to look at the process of being a servant leader from more than just my perspective and leadership experiences. Truly I am now seeing the true effects of transfer theory working in my daily life as a high school principal as well as being a father, son and husband.
I am so lucky to have a boss that wants every student to become successful in the career that they have chosen. She really wants all of us to become better leaders, knowing that in the long run the whole of humanity will be better because of the educational relationships made in every school district in America.
